TUPE - Tobacco Use Prevention Education
This program is designed to prevent, intervene and bring about cessation of tobacco use products. Students either volunteer for the program or are assigned due to an incident with tobacco on campus. As a result of this program students gain new knowledge about tobacco use, explore tobacco myths and the impact it has on health issues. Also students learn to change their attitudes towards tobacco use and become empowered by obtaining new skills that will enable them to cope with pressures that are associated with tobacco usage. Each week a different focus of tobacco use is explored, such as trigger for usage. Meetings are held once a week (Thursday) in room 126 during Lunch.
