Freshman Year

Wow. I don't know what to say. Freshman year went by sooooo fast! It feels like it was just yesterday we were all new to Hoover, didn't know where our classes were, trying to get used to everything and all the upperclassmen. I had so much fun this year. Everyone says sophomore year is the hardest. Great. -_- Anyway, what I really want to say is I'm gonna miss freshman year and Mr. Welsh!! He's retiring. The seniors are lucky. They got to be with him all 4 years. Hands down, Mr. Welsh is the BEST principal I've ever had. I haven't felt like this about any other principal. I'm sad he's leaving. He will be missed. I'm going to miss his funny Sunday night calls. He's leaving behind a legacy. However, Dr. Earl (Associate Principal) will be taking over after Mr. Welsh and I am 100% positive that she will also be a great principal. We are proud of her and wish her luck! I wish Mr. Welsh a happy retirement and happiness with his family and loved ones. It's hard to let The Happiest, Luckiest, and Most Fortunate Principal in the GUSD go. We are sad about losing such a great leader, but also excited to start the new school year fresh with Dr. Jennifer Earl! Mr. Welsh's crazy phrase: "Oheo oheyey" I don't know how to spell it. LOL! Whenever you hear that, you know that's Mr. Welsh! BGD!! We won GHS this year and got the bell back. Since it's Mr. Welsh's last year, it was great that Hoover won. Now I'm gonna go and enjoy my next 3 years in high school! Sophomore year, here I come! It really is a blast being a Hoover Tornado! I LOVE HOOVER♥♥
